Celebrating summer since 2002 

Unlock the Summer started in 2002 to mark the reopening of the swing bridge over the Trent Severn Waterway.  Traffic had been rerouted for several months during construction, and when work was complete early that June, the whole town was ready to celebrate.   Unlock the Summer was born.

Since its inception, Unlock the Summer has been a fun-filled weekend. Check back often for the latest information about retail and restaurant deals, boat cruises on Pigeon Lake, music, art and activities for kids of all ages.
